I stole this one from Walter’s famously fabulous roomie, Atherton. And I thank you my dear, this is definitely one to keep in the archives!

“We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses, there is at last one which makes the heart run over.” ~ From Samuel Johnson’s “Life Of Johnson”

Today I am starting a new page which I intend to be an outlet for all of the great and fantastic quotations that I come across that I feel should be shared with all.

I saw, just now, your quote from Samuel Johnson, which I think, to this day, no matter how many friendships have come and gone throughout my life, is still marvelous. And also, feel free to steal anything from me. *smile*

thanks! I actually intended it to be an ongoing thing – it’s just that no one has commented for years! I will admit to not keeping up on it as I should though, as I only add a new quote or three once in a blue moon….

I am glad that you enjoy some of my faves. There are sooo many, I could fill a book with quotes that I feel have meaning. I find a lot of comfort in words – whether they are my own, or someone else’s. A sentence can be more powerful than a fist.
